This training course was designed to help those who work in schools, parents, guardians, youth workers or childminders to care for children with diabetes. This course will also explain how diabetes works and how you can keep a child with diabetes healthy and happy at school.
In the UK there are around 35,000 children and young people living with both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Learners will touch upon the risks children face and your responsibilities, the different kinds of medication, what should happen when a child goes on school trips.

Welcome to the Diabetes Awareness for Schools & Carers training program, designed to equip educators, caregivers, and school staff with essential knowledge and skills to support children with diabetes. As a result of taking this course, the user should be able to know how to identify hazards and keep themselves and others safe at work, recognise the different kinds of eye protection equipment and understand how they protect them, and understand first aid advice for when accidents involving eyes happen and how to prevent long term damage.
Accident Reporting Training
Accident reporting plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe workplace, as the aim of the practice is to ensure that the accident is not repeated. Under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (2013), employers require "responsible persons" to report accidents, major injuries, dangerous occurrences, and even death in the workplace. Therefore, it is a legal duty to practice accident reporting.
This course, which is an introduction to accident reporting, helps the user to understand how to fill out an accident report form and what to include in it. Additionally, it covers what sort of accidents need reporting, as well as covering the legal obligations of the person reporting the accident.
Abrasive Wheel Safety Training
This online training course was designed for employees who handle, operate, and maintain abrasive wheels in the workplace. Covering the dangers, legal responsibilities, and inspections of abrasive wheels, this course aims to leave the user confident in their day-to-day duties working towards compliance with the PUWER regulations.
Abrasive wheels can be extremely dangerous if not used correctly, and this course should not be used instead of practical training, but rather to work alongside practical training to ensure the user understands their legal responsibilities.
