First Aid Training

Explore online first-aid awareness and refresher courses, including CPR/AED, appointed-person awareness and workplace first-aid topics. Check each course page for its content, duration and listed accreditations.

These online awareness and refresher courses should be selected alongside your workplace first-aid needs assessment. They should not be treated as a substitute for any practical first-aider qualification or assessment your role requires.

Your Legal First Aid Obligations

Start with a first-aid needs assessment covering your workplace, workforce and risks. HSE guidance explains how this informs the equipment, facilities and personnel you need, and how to select suitable training.

An appointed person who manages first-aid arrangements is different from a trained first-aider. An online awareness or refresher certificate does not by itself demonstrate practical first-aider competence.

Read HSE guidance for employers on first aid at work before choosing your training.
